Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, this role performs work on a wide range of human resource functions that include recruiting, compensation administration, benefits administration, policy and program development, performance management, organizational development, human resource information systems, employee relations, investigations and employee communications.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide key onsite business partner, developing strong relationships with employees and understanding of how HR can best support each department.
- Support plant management and employees with wide array of program administration, employee relations, retention, payroll, safety, training, performance management, compensation and benefits, and workers compensation activities.
- Responsible for full cycle recruiting activities, posting ads, screening and disseminating qualified candidates to the HR Team and hiring managers; identify and manage relationships with effective recruiting resources.
- Activate, maintain and update personnel records and administer the company’s human resource information systems.
- Benefit education and administration, Track benefits eligibility, Prepare benefits packets; Conduct orientation for benefits; Enroll employees in benefits; Reconcile benefit accounts. Administration of 401K plan and related tasks.
- Assist in the development and implementation of human resources programs, policies, procedures and practices.
- Provide compensation related services such job evaluations, developing job descriptions, conducting salary research, and processing pay adjustments consistent with established compensation plan.
- Assist in variety of employee relations issues including conducting employee investigations and making recommendations to the HR Team and/or necessary staff.
- Complete special projects, track, analyze data and prepare reports on recruiting, HR metrics and additional functions as assigned.
Key Qualifications Include:
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- Requires 5 or more years’ experience in a HR Generalist Role in a manufacturing environment.
- Requires strong technical knowledge and skills in multiple HR disciplines and best practices.
- Requires knowledge of EEO, federal and state employment and benefit laws and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and must work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of and experience with HRIS and payroll software, in addition to Microsoft Office applications. Past in experience in ADP a plus.
